The only thing else I tried were the cinnamon rolls which were marginal, but next time I'll give some others a try. But start with a dozen chocolate glazed and you can't go wrong. ”

Most donut shops need specialty donuts or trendy marketing to stand out. Max's doesn't need either because of how great their donuts are. Not so with Max's Donuts, in fact I debated whether to write this review because I don't want more people to find out about this donut shop. I'm a big fan of Krispy Kreme and this place has them beat hands down. The consistency and the moistness of their donuts is probably the best I've ever had, and I've had a lot of donuts. And most of their donuts are glazed, like the chocolate donut is basically a chocolate glazed donut, which is amazing. Be sure to get here early on weekends because they do sell out! ”

“ Anytime I'm in town this is a destination stop! Best Donut holes ever! There is usually a line on the weekend and if you're not there before 10 you may not get what you want. Lol. The only reason they are not 5 star is because they have gotten heavy with the icing. Just a bit too much. ”

“ One of my coworkers recommended this spot as their go to donut spot! I live in McKinney and every second of this 15 minute drive was worth it for these donuts. They were soft and light, and it seemed like the sugar had crystallized creating a little bit of a bite. I tried the glazed and chocolate, and both were delicious! I'd make this drive out to get these donuts any Saturday morning! We both tried their kolache as well and were disappointed. They weren't bad, but they weren't great either. We will definitely stick to the donuts from now on! ”

“ Apologies to the people who saw me stood by the door when I walked in apparently into the space they were leaving a gap for people walking in. Ahhh! I didn't mean to cut in line. I didn't know that was only half the line and that the queue continued on the opposite wall. It was my first time so please forgive me. Good thing my brother corrected me before I might've been ran out. I kid, it's not that serious. But these donuts are! Seriously good that is. We all have our fave spot and I thought I had mine but these donuts were divine. They were soft and pillowy. And we're just talking about the glazed donuts. I did also get a taste of the apple fritter, cinnamon roll, and my favorite chocolate old fashioned. All were just ok in my opinion. The apple fritter was not fried to a crispy texture, the cinnamon roll while big did not pack a nice cinnamon punch, and the old fashioned did not have the crispy exterior and soft interior that I enjoy. The chocolate icing was good though and I'm picky about that. I would come back for the glazed donuts to enjoy with a hot cup of joe. The ladies working were cranking out orders like a well oiled machine. They were getting that line moving so don't be scared! Just pay attention to where the line starts :) ”

“ Max's is ALWAYS a hit. I've been going here since 2015 when we lived in Allen. Even though we moved, I make it a point to go as often as I can...3 times a month. Donuts are always sweet, soft, melt in your mouth It's always clean. Decor is simple poster and pictures from the community. Always lives the support they show. If you are line complainer then you might have to go somewhere else because there is a line about 80% of the time, however it is worth the wait. Staff is always friendly and helpful. If you have never been the you need to go. Best in Collin County. ”
